Together they recorded a series of tales from Maliseet elders whom Paul regarded as among the best Maliseet storytellers born before 1900, including Charles Laporte, Matilda Sappier, Solomon Polchies, William Saulis, and Alexander Sacobie. Paul also contributed eleven narratives of his own. Tales from Maliseet Country presents the transcripts and translations of the texts Teeter collected, together with one tale recorded by linguist Philip S. LeSourd in 1977. The stories range from chronicles of shamanistic activity and mysterious events of the distant past, through more conventionally historical narratives, to frankly fictional yarns, fairy tales with roots in European traditions, and personal accounts of subsistence activities and reservation life. This entertaining and revealing volume testifies to the rich heritage of the Maliseets and the enduring vibrancy of their culture today. Featuring a bilingual format, with Maliseet and English on facing pages, this is the first extensive collection to be published in the Maliseet language, a member of the far-flung Algonquian family spoken in New Brunswick. The volume is also the first to provide full phonemic transcriptions, including the notation of accentual contrasts, of the Maliseet tales. This faux rabbit fur blanket is beautiful, and it goes with everything. It's very soft and just heavy enough to be warm and comfortable, without being heavy. It appears to be durable and colorfast after the first wash, without any noticeable shedding. I bought the "Marble Beige and Grey Chocolate" one, and I'm very happy with it. The marble swirl of natural-looking brown colors reminds me of Swensen's chocolate eclair ice cream!

The most amazing blanket EVER!!!
I just got this yesterday and I’m obsessed already. It’s the softest thing I’ve ever touched. The reverse side is also a super soft velour-like feel. I got the Marble Charcoal Grey in 60x80. It looks exactly like the photos and it’s truly a bubble design too. Looks so good draped across my bed.
And it’s HEAVY! Literally feels like a weighted blanket on top of being unbelievably soft and cozy. Now I want to get the largest size for even more heavy, snuggly bliss. I slept with it last night along with my normal blanket and I fell asleep much quicker than usual.
It does shed a bit on my black clothes but I don’t even care lol. The packaging it arrives in makes it wonderfully gift-able and also lets you know it’s a women-owned company. Didn’t arrive with any bad smells either. All the stitching is immaculate, really everything about this blanket is.
I got it on a Black Friday deal for $20% off at $51, it’s worth every penny and feels like a steal to be honest. The quality is unmatched. I’ll have to refrain from buying every single color!
