La Morada Maldita tells the tale of an ancient gem-collecting explorer who meets his end, leaving his vast collection to the villagers. Among these treasures is a mysterious large purple gem, radiating an unsettling magic. Despite the warnings, its allure is hard to resist...
At the start, each player places their challenge cards face down in front of 65 gems of different shapes and colors, including the coveted purple gem. All players reveal their first card simultaneously, which indicates a specific gem to find. Players must search for and collect the gems according to their cards. The first player to gather all the gems listed on their cards must claim the large purple jewel.
Afterward, each player reviews their mistakes—correct gems contribute to their victory points, while incorrect ones are discarded. Incomplete sets carry over as bonuses for the next round.
The player who claims the purple gem receives a curse card, introducing a handicap for the next round. Adding the event variant makes the game even more chaotic, requiring players to perform real physical tricks.
