More than ten years after the demise of Sun City Girls as an entity, something wild and weird has now surfaced, grown and ripened in the heat and dust of the same desert. Described as deep spirited, Arabic-music-tinged free jazz-punk and harsh exotica, Sunn Trio's ever-evolving ensemble digests a number of genres, spitting them back out in creative destruction. Carrying on a long tradition of sun-beaten Phoenix punk, Sunn Trio evokes the sweltering and hallucinatory Arizona desert. Echoes of Sonny Sharrock, John McLaughlin, and Sir Richard Bishop can be heard in Joel Robinson's fiery blurs of guitar. Imagine the Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 in full force, echoing from behind a curtain of bitter haze. Founded by Robinson in 2010, the ever-changing band has been constantly recording and self-releasing material in the form of tapes, and now deliver, their first LP, Fayrus. Fayrus ("virus" in Arabic) will be released as a one-time edition. Alan Bishop on Fayrus: "Wielding Indo-Arabian saz and white lightning six-string shrapnel amidst an alligator snapping turtle's rhythm section, this trio-quartet-sextet may also sprout horns, flutes, animal skins, or shadow gamelan to faithfully demolish that whiny and predictable listening experience of today's tepidly lazy, underachieving experimental music scene. Looks great by my bed!
Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art!
I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye.
The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease.
However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

Beautiful jewelry display

A few rough edges, but all in all well made and attractive. Holds lots of earrings and I can drape my necklaces on the tree. There's a nice bowl for bracelets and a nice tray that forms the base.

Gorgeous

It really is pretty to look at. To be honest arranging the earring on the tree is a bit of a pain, because the leaves tilt in different directions, and you have to play with it a bit to get the earrings to hang the way you would like them, but once you figure it out, they look very nice. I just adore it because it looks so pretty. I use the basket on the side for rings and watches, and the little plate in the base for a few miscellaneous pieces like necklaces or bracelets for balance and because they look nice. You'll love it.

gorgeous, and worth the purchase.

I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand.
SHIPPING/PACKAGING
It was nicely packaged, and not bent or damaged when I recieved it. The stand was a little wobbly (due to careless measuring of the copper balls, the fault of the manufacturer)
THE PRODUCT
The pictures are not how it is. Remember that. I thought the tree would be more three dimensional, you know- like a real tree. It wasn't, though. It was like someone took a 2D copper tree and made it stand up. It's still pretty, though, and holds a lot of jewelry.
PRICE-WISE
If you're looking at the price and it says $45 or more, don't buy it. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right.
OVERALL?
In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.

Beautiful and sturdy

This piece is far superior than I expected. It is beautiful and sturdy. I don't have a lot of fancy jewelry. I just have several everyday pieces with a few unique pieces. This tree was perfect. It is attractive, like a unique piece of jewelry itself.
