The palate delivers excellent weight and fruit intensity together with silky texture and polished tannins, finishing long and soothing. Wonderfully styled and multi-layered with seductive complexity" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2020

Violet petals, warm schist & red fruits dominate the aromas of this textural, layered Pinot Noir. The Palate is silky, savoury, and seductive spice & lifted red fruits.

The fruit for this wine is from Bannockburn, Gibbston, Northburn, Lowburn & Bendigo sub regions.

2017 was the coolest vintage for at least 15 years. The unusually warm September was followed by a good October and then a period of below average temperatures through until late February. Fortunately flowering was good but the cooler weather during berry development meant bunch sizes were below average. Fruit quality was excellent.

The winemakers here typically pick at 21.5 - 23.5 brix depending on the vineyard. The fruit is handsorted twice and partially destemmed (depending on vineyard, usually 50%whole cluster) into 2.5 tonne vats. There is no addition of SO2 at this point and the wines ferment spontaneously. The ferment reaches 25-27 C at peak and grapes are pumped over gently twice a day until 2/3 ferment is over, then twice daily foot plunging. The wine is on skins between 5-8 weeks. Pressings are combined with free run juice and MLF is totally native and no SO2 is added until wine is racked and blended to tank helping to integrate tannins and allow the wine to develop as a whole. Unfiltered & Unfined wine.

The Alex K ‘Five Boroughs‘ Pinot Noir 2017 is identical wine to the The 'Kalex Pinot Noir 2017'. This label was used for UK export.

Nice features
I have only had this item a few weeks. But I like it very much. It’s better than the one it replaced. I like that I only have to press and release the button to pull out the cork and then it releases the cork automatically. Only charged once so far and is still fully charged. Also a blue LED is lit when cork is being removed and a red LED is lit when it is releasing the cork.

Don't Waste Your Money!
I thought this was going to be good. First bottle opened OK, though the device obviously struggled to get the cork out. Used for 3 or 4 bottles. on the last two, I had to manually turn the device to get the corkscrew in - then pull the cork out. Cork is in the device and it won't come out. UNFORTUNATELY I THREW OUT THE PACKAGING, SO NOT SURE WHAT IF ANYTHING I CAN DO WITH IT OTHER THAN THROW IT OUT. NOTE: I did try recharging the device after each use, though it made no difference.

Works great! Better than a Rabbit brand
This is an awesome opener. My husband originally got me one for Christmas for our lake place. Everyone that uses it loves it. I had a r Rabbit brand at home and it finally wore out, but never worked as awesome as this one. My old one also required it to sit in a plastic base as a means of charging versus a cord I can simply plug in and hide. I like this style better because I can put it on a cute little tray. To work it, you simply push a button and it pull the cork out and then releases it without having to hit a different button. This one was on sale too, so extra bonus.

Game Changer for Wine Lovers
Color: 8-in-1 Silver, Size: Rechargeable
Circle Joy Electric Wine Bottle Opener and I’m honestly really impressed. Setup was super simple, and it works exactly as advertised—just place it on the bottle, press a button, and the cork comes out smoothly in seconds. No struggling, no broken corks, and no mess. It makes opening wine feel effortless and a lot more enjoyable. I also love the sleek design—it looks modern and feels sturdy, not cheap. If you have the set with accessories, the extras like the foil cutter and pourer are a nice bonus and actually useful. Overall, this is a great little gadget, especially if you open wine often or just want something convenient and easy to use. Definitely a solid buy or even a nice gift idea.
